What are your first impressions of AIESEC?

1. What do you think AIESEC is/does (from your point of view)? view)? First impression was that this is an opportunity I would not want to miss. AIESEC is a youth run organization, probably the largest. It wants to make a change in youth of Pakistan by discovering and building their potential.

Why have you decided to engage into AIESEC? What do you think you will gain out of it?

To me AIESEC is a platform that will help me in discovering my core competencies, build a better me so I can plan a better future for me and the society, and then later achieve those goals, A better me who has seen the big picture, and knows how he could make a difference

Which part of the AIESEC promotions caught your attention? Why?

Got invited by a friend on facebook, why? Because it looked professional and worth participating.

Describe a situation when you took on a task that you considered a challenge for you. How well did you do? Did you fulfill what you planned?

After Pakistan was hit by a massive flood. I along with a few other inspired and motivated members decided to contribute something in this hour of need. We took it as a challenge, gathered enough money to buy medicine and a little food. We had to plan the whole trip to Muzaffargarh, DG khan and Jampur, which included buying medicine and supplements, the week stay, places to visit, how and where to cook food from, arrange doctors and dispensers from DG khan etc. well we did really good in fact. Covered the whole Jampur and muzaffar garh. The whole crew was divided in 3 teams. Two were medical teams and one distributed food.

What is the biggest global issue in your point of view? And why? What do you think you can do about it, now, while being a university student?

I think the biggest global issue is to have the right and accurate knowledge. Working on this can result in rather less hate between two different cultures and religions, stop terrorism and build a better nation. Because it is the only way we can face and resolve the leading issues we and the world are facing i.e. terrorism, islamophobea etc. I myself created a group called “rebel” who theme is to ‘stand united against terrorism’. We can create groups like these where we share knowledge, views, determine how can we make a difference and inspire as many people as you can.
